Two cubes on both sides, clad in a powerful shade of red, have been added to the existing building thus uniting inner function with a totally new proportioning of the object. Boldly protruding, the cubical extensions emphasizing the new horizontal quality, the whole project is being stretched and therefore finds a good grip on the soil. Large scale window elements, cut out like frames, become the significant feature of the outer appearance of the cubes.
A vision completely new in the existing view of the village, catching one’s eye, leading to discussion, widening and challenging the range and limits of what is possible and manageable. The typical small-town appearance of the village has become enriched by bold, up-to-date modern architecture.
